HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR HEATER
Heat Smart® Infrared Heaters were designed as a supplemental
heat source with the ability to be moved from room-to-room,
where zoned heat is needed. Space heaters can be a less
expensive way to heat a room or supplement an inadequate
heating system.

Infrared Heaters can boost the temperature of a room without
heating your whole house. The outside of the heater never gets
hot to the touch so it is safe to operate around children and pets.

Infrared heat quickly and evenly warms objects in the room as
well as the air, so the room stays warmer longer.

Infrared heat also produces a comfortable room environment, thus enabling you to lower your home thermostat and help create a savings on your home heating system. Each degree over 68 degrees Fahrenheit can add three percent to the amount of energy needed for heating; each degree below 68 degrees Fahrenheit can save about the same amount of energy.

Heat Smart® heaters emit infrared heat that directly heats objects and people that are in their line of sight. This radiant heater is a more efficient choice when you will be in a room for a short period of time because they avoid the energy needed to heat the entire room by instead directly heating the occupants and their immediate surroundings. Keep in mind that running your new infrared heater will help maintain the moisture in your air, which in turn creates a form of therapeutic heat.

The cost of fuel used to heat your home continues to increase and central heating systems are dramatically less efficient than a good zoned heating system. Electric space heaters are capable of zoned heating but generate hot heat that quickly rises to the ceiling and is less efficient than an infrared heat.

Use our heater in the family room during the day, and in your bedroom at night. You will save fuel and money yet stay comfortable and warm. Simply set the digital thermostat and turn down your central heat system thermostat.

OPERATE HEAT SMART® FOR AS LITTLE AS $1.00 TO $2.00 PER DAY:

The cost of electricity depends on where you live, how much you use, and possibly when you use it. In the U.S. last year, the average cost of residential electricity was 11¢/kWh (DOE) during the month of December.

During a heating cycle, Heat Smart® uses 1.5 kilowatts of energy per hour when set on High, or about 16¢ an hour running on full power (1500 watts). Once the desired temperature is reached, the Heat Smart® cycles off, causing the quartz elements to shut down. This creates maximum efficiency yet maintains the room temperature.

The Heat Smart® patented High-Low Opti-Switch™ gives you the option to convert your heater from a 1500 watts unit (for larger rooms) to 1000-watt unit (for smaller rooms) for even more savings. The Opti-Switch™ is exclusive to Model Heat Smart® “Victory”™ (SSG1500). Model Heat Smart® “Liberty”™ (LT1500) & “Star XL”™ (MT1500) have a High-Low setting option on the LED display and remote control that functions the same as the Opti-Switch™. (Model “Liberty”™ (LT1500) operates on 900 watts on low.)
